The company

Aquaflot Ambiental Ltda was established in February of 2001 in Porto Alegre - RS - Brazil with the purpose of supplying solutions for the wastewater treatment aiming the water reuse. The company beginning was the development, along with UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul), of a patent for the water treatment and reuse in vehicles washing. Today this system is in operation in several states of Brazil, like Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and São Paulo, clarifying and making possible the water reuse used at bus garages, carriers and car washings. 

It also develops projects and improvement systems in the treatment of the most different wastewater types, as tobacco, mining and petroleum industries. It uses physiochemical processes basically as conventional flotation, dissolved air flotation, FF system and decantation with lamellas, all related to water reuse.  

To reach this objective Aquaflot makes the diagnosis of the problem, points out the appropriate solution and indicates - or even supplies the equipment. Aquaflot can also put the unit into operation and can train the system operators.  

The staff

The Aquaflot team is formed by engineers and former researchers of the Mineral and Environmental Technology Lab of UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul). Therefore, today the company keeps a partnership with that lab, so it is possible to bring to the productive area the most advanced technologies. 

The service

In order to propose to the customer a technically adequate solution and economically viable to the wastewater, Aquaflot makes a previous study, which begins with the collection and analysis of the wastewater, bench experiments and when is required a trial run analysis.  

Aquaflot understands that this procedure is the most suitable for investment optimization and for risk reduction in the dimensioning.
